What We Collect

RootByte does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the site.

When you use the AI chat (Bryte) or Root Trace research tool, your messages are sent to our server to generate a response. These messages are not stored, not linked to your identity, and not used to train AI models.

Like all websites, our server may receive standard technical data through your browser including your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. This is standard web infrastructure behavior and is not used to identify you personally.

Affiliate Disclosure

Some pages on RootByte may contain affiliate links. When you click on product links on this site and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission. This does not affect the price you pay and helps support the editorial work we do at RootByte.

AI Chat & Research

The Bryte chat and Root Trace research tool are powered by AI language models via third-party inference providers. Messages you send are processed to generate a response and are not retained after the response is delivered.

Do not share sensitive personal information (passwords, financial data, ID numbers) through the chat.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right of access — you can request a copy of any data we hold about you
